Users with the Embedded Form Debug permission can access the NETSS debugger.
This option is available when the disease of the opened investigation
is exported using NETSS (configured in CDC Export Mapping). To access
the NETSS debugger, select the Debug NETSS CDC Export option from the
Action menu ()
on the CDC Form or Supplemental tab page. The NETSS Export Debug pop-up
window opens. It displays the data per CDC specifications.
The NETSS debugger is available for the conditions associated with the following CDC forms:
The available fields, options, and columns on the NETSS Export Debug pop-up window are as follows:
Field/Option/Column |
Description |
NETSS Extract | The line representing the full extract for the investigation. |
NETSS Field Name | The NETSS field name as described by the CDC. |
Position | The character position and length where the information is to be included in the NETSS extract. |
Form Field Name | The field name on the CDC form. |
Skip | The next position the user is sent to if the equation in the brackets is met. It is used to skip the set of questions you are looking at depending on the value you selected for the field on the form. All skipped questions are set to blank. |
Form Value | The value entered by the user in the form. |
NETSS Value | The NETSS value included in the extract. |

The available fields on the NETSS Export Field pop-up window are as follows:
Field | Description |
NETSS Name | The ID used by the CDC. |
Index | The character position and the length of the field in the extract. |
Translation | The translation between the Sentinel field data and NETSS extract field data. |
NETSS Extract | The value which was sent to the CDC. This value is updated whenever you change the answer to a question on the form and click Submit. |
