Define Drop-Down Lists

Drop-down lists used for specific fields within the VOMS application can be defined by authorized users (with the Vaccine Ordering Management permission) in the Admin & Settings area. Click the Admin & Settings menu link, then navigate to the Order Management section and click Define Drop-Down Lists. The Define Drop-Down Lists page opens.

The drop-down lists that can be defined are:

  • Facility Contact Type
  • Freezer Type
  • Lot Inactivation Reason
  • Reason for Rejecting a Shipment
  • Reason for Rejecting an Order
  • Refrigerator Type
  • Temperature Measuring Device
  • Vaccine Management Exception
  • Vaccine Return Reason
  • VOMS Priority Reasons
  • VTrckS McKesson to SIIS Mapping for Manufacturer Code

Search for a Drop-Down List

To search for a specific drop-down list, enter a few characters of the name in the Search field. The list automatically narrows to only include drop-down lists that contain those characters. To return to a full list of drop-down lists, remove the text from the search field.

Edit/Define a Drop-Down List

To edit (define) a drop-down list, first search for it and/or locate it in the list, then click on the name to open that section of the page. Edit a value by clicking on the Edit icon (Edit icon) for that value in the list. To allow a value to be displayed in drop-down lists in the application, select the Display option; to remove the value from the lists, deselect the Display options. When finished editing the values for a drop-down list, click Save.

The available columns, fields, and options for each drop-down list are as follows:

Column/Field/Option Description
Drop-Down Value The value that is to be displayed in the drop-down list.
Description The value's description.
Edit icon (Edit icon) Click this icon to edit the value or description, change the text as needed, and click Save. If the value is an application default value, it is read-only and only the description can be edited.
Display Select this option to display the value in drop-down lists. Deselect it to hide the value so that it cannot be selected in drop-down lists.
Add Row Click this button to add a new custom value to the drop-down list, then enter the information as needed.
Remove icon (Remove icon) To remove a custom value from a drop-down list. Default application values cannot be removed from the lists (but can be hidden by deselecting the Display option).

To re-order the values in a drop-down list, drag and drop them into the correct order.
