The Define Order Sets settings allow authorized users to configure the order sets used in VOMS if the Administration > Properties > Vaccine Management options Enable Custom Order Set for Date Range and Enable Custom Order Set for PIN Range have been configured in IWeb. Additionally, the Allow Online Orders option must be enabled for the organization/facility.
To configure these settings, click the Admin & Settings menu link and then Define Order Sets (under Order Management). The Order Set Maintenance page opens in the IWeb application.
NOTE: If the search bar is empty, select an organization/facility in VOMS first, then click Admin & Settings > Define Order Sets. If the IWeb application "timed out" or otherwise cancelled the session, it may open to the login page instead of the Order Set Maintenance page. Log in to the application again and then click Administration > Settings > Define Order Set to go to the Order Set Maintenance page from within IWeb. To return to VOMS, click the Inventory Management > Inventory Management menu link in IWeb. |
Enter the name of an Order Set (optional) and click Search. The previously created order sets are listed in the Search Results section.
To add a new order set, click Add. To edit an existing order set, click the arrow button in the Select column for that order set in the list. In either case, the Order Set Maintenance [Detail] page opens - blank for a new order set or pre-populated for an existing order set. Enter or change the information as needed and click Save (at the bottom of the page).
The columns, fields, and options on the Order Set Maintenance [Detail] page are as follows:
Column/Field/Option | Description |
Order Set Number | (Only on page for existing order set.) Indicates the system-generated number assigned to the order set. Read-only. |
Description | Enter the name of the order set. |
Inactive | Select this option to inactivate the order set so that users cannot select it when ordering. |
Custom | Select this option if this is a custom order set. |
Subject to EOQ | Select this option if the order set is subject to the Estimated Order Quantity. |
Requires Local Approver / Local Approver | Select this option if ordering with this order set requires approval by a local approver. (For an existing order set, this displays the PIN number and name of the Local Approver organization/facility.) |
Fulfillment Type | Select the fulfillment type, such as Depot, Distributor, or Pandemic, if applicable. |
Vaccination | Select one or more vaccines from the Unselected box and click Add to add it to the Selected box. To remove a vaccine, select it in the Selected box and click Remove. |
Sort Order | (Only on page for existing order set) Enter a whole number (starting with 0) to indicate the sort order of the vaccine in the list. (For example, a "0" indicates this vaccine is first on the list.) |
Restrict from Ordering | (Only on page for existing order set.) Select this option to prevent users from ordering it. |
