Define Prebooking Categories

Define Prebooking Categories allows authorized to set up categories for prebooking, assigning order sets to the categories, and setting the valid date range for the prebooking requests for the categories. This must be completed before providers are assigned to order sets on the Assign Providers to Prebooking page.

To access this page, the Enable Prebooking property must be enabled. To configure these settings, click the Admin & Settings menu link and then Define Prebooking Categories (under Order Management).

Users can set up categories with up to three order sets assigned to the categories. Organizations/facilities can only be assigned to one order set within a category but can be assigned to multiple order sets across multiple categories. Users create as many categories as needed.

To add a category select + Add a Category.

The fields, options, and buttons on this page are as follows:

Column/Field/Option Description
Category Name Name of the category must be unique. The name designs the category.
Remove icon (Delete icon) This button appears to the left of the category when a new category is being set up. Once the category has been saved, users cannot delete the category. Instead, they are able to inactivate the category.
Request From Select a date for when this category will be available to providers to order from the order sets that are assigned to the category. Request From Date cannot be changed once a request has been submitted for the category. A date from the past cannot be selected.
Request To Select a date for when this category will be available until for providers to order from the order sets assigned to the category.
Order Set 1 One order set must be assigned to the category. Select an order set that has been defined as a prebooking order set. Order set cannot be removed once a request has been submitted.
Order Set 2 Select an order set that has been defined as a prebooking order set. Order set cannot be removed once a request has been submitted.
Order Set 3 Select an order set that has been defined as a prebooking order set. Order set cannot be removed once a request has been submitted.
Save Saves the changes that are made on the Prebooking Categories page.
Cancel Does not save any changes on the page and returns the user back to the Admin & Settings page.
Edit icon (Edit icon) This button allows the user to make edits and changes to the category and its order sets.
Inactive When editing a category, the user has the option to inactivate a category. Once saved, the category will be marked as Inactive.

Once a new category has been created or changes are made, select Save t save the changes. A confirmation message will be displayed. Once the user has confirmed, a message will display to confirm that the changes have been made.
