The Define and Manage Funding Sources settings allow authorized users to configure various funding source details, such as the internal description and nickname, whether or not a funding source is publicly supplied, and the VTrckS and HL7 code numbers. HL7 mapping can also be configured.
To configure these settings, click the Admin & Settings menu link and then Define and Manage Funding Sources (under System Settings). The Funding Source page opens in the IWeb application.
NOTE: If the search bar is empty, select an organization/facility in VOMS first, then click Admin & Settings > Define and Manage Funding Sources. If the IWeb application "timed out" or otherwise cancelled the session, it may open to the login page instead of the Funding Source page. Log in to the application again and then click Administration > Define Values > Define and Manage Funding Source to go to the Funding Source page from within IWeb. To return to VOMS, click the Inventory Management > VOMS 2.0 menu link in IWeb. |
The current list of funding sources appears on the page. To add a new funding source row, click the plus sign at the bottom of the list.
Enter or update the information as needed and click Save when finished.
The columns, fields, and options on this page are as follows:

Drag and drop the funding source into the order you wish it to appear on the drop-down lists. |
Internal Description |
Enter the funding source description. |
Quick Indicator |
Enter the quick indicator (i.e., abbreviation or acronym) for the funding source. |
Publicly Supplied |
Select this option if the funding source is publicly supplied. |
Include in IIS Drop Down |
Select this option if the funding source should appear in IIS drop-down lists. |
VTrckS Code |
Select the related VTrckS code from the drop-down list. |
HL7 Code |
Select the related HL7 code from the drop-down list. |
To configure the HL7 mapping to funding sources, click the HL7 Mapping button. Map the HL7 codes to the IIS funding sources as necessary and click Save. To add a new row for another HL7 code, click the plus button located under the list of codes, enter the information, and click Save. To return to the Funding Source page, click Cancel.
