Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine

The Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine settings allow authorized users to configure which manufacturers can be selected for each vaccine, which can reduce the number of errors that occur when working with lot numbers. When a user adds a new lot and selects an unknown manufacturer for a specific vaccine, a warning lets the user know that this is generally not a valid selection for the vaccine.

To configure these settings, click the Admin & Settings menu link and then Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine (under System Settings). The Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine page opens in the IWeb application.

NOTE: If the search bar is empty, select an organization/facility in VOMS first, then click Admin & Settings > Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine.

If the IWeb application "timed out" or otherwise cancelled the session, it may open to the login page instead of the Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine page. Log in to the application again and then click Administration > Define Values > Limit Manufacturer by Vaccine to go to the page from within IWeb. To return to VOMS, click the Inventory Management > VOMS 2.0 menu link in IWeb.

Select a vaccine from the drop-down list; the page automatically updates to show the Manufacturer List for that vaccine.

If no manufacturer is selected from the Available list, all available manufacturers appear in the related drop-down lists. To select one or more specific manufacturers, select them from the Available list and click the right arrow (>>) button to move them to the Shown list.

To remove a manufacturer, select it in the Shown list and click the left arrow (<<) button to move it back to the Available list. The manufacturer is then removed from the related drop-down lists in the application for that vaccine.

Repeat the above process for all vaccines for which you want to limit the manufacturers that appear in the drop-down lists for those vaccines.
