Alerts Administration

Authorized users can configure settings to control when and how users are notified about alerts. This is done on the Alerts Administration page, which is accessed via the Admin > Alerts menu link. Click here to see an example Alerts Administration page.

Users are notified about alerts in two ways:

On the Alerts Administration page, select the appropriate options, enter any necessary information, and click Save All Changes when finished.

The available options and fields on this page are as follows:

Option/Field Description
Toggle Alerts  
  Status To turn the Alerts feature on or off, toggle the switch to Active or Inactive.
Schedule  
  Time Frame Select whether to notify about alerts Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. If Weekly is selected, also select a day of the week.
  (Day of Week) If Weekly was the time frame selected, select which day of the week to send the notification.
Types  
  Provider Select Organization, Facility, or both, to set the provider type.
  Status Select Pre-Production, Production, or both, to set the status type.
Thresholds  
  Patient maximum error % threshold Enter a whole number to represent the maximum percentage rate of errors to use as the measure for sending alert notifications. For example, if 5% is entered, alert notifications are sent whenever 5% or more patient records contain errors.
  Patient maximum warning % threshold Enter a whole number to represent the maximum percentage rate of errors to use as the measure for sending alert notifications. For example, if 40% is entered, alert notifications are sent whenever 40% or more patient records contain warnings.
