Data Volume

State and Organization/Facility users can view general statistics on the number of HL7 messages submitted monthly and the organizations/facilities with the lowest and highest number of HL7 message submissions. Click the Trends > Data Volume menu link to open the Data Volume Statistics page. Select the appropriate filters as necessary.

To switch between Pre-Production and Production stages (if applicable), select the correct stage from the drop-down list on the top right side of the page.

On the graphs, hover over a specific bar to view detailed information about what it represents. On some graphs, you can click a graph bar to open a pop-up window containing more data. Click elsewhere on the page (outside of the window) to close it. Some graphs also allow you to zoom in for more detailed information: Click and drag the mouse across the graph to zoom in and click the Reset zoom button to zoom back out.

The filters, buttons, and icons available in the filter sections are as follows:

Filter/Button/Icon	Description
Pre-Production / Production filter	If the iQ application is being used in pre-production, select Pre-Production from the drop-down list. Otherwise, if the iQ application has moved to production, select Production. The data that is retrieved and displayed on this page depends on whether or not the application is "live" (in Production) or not (Pre-Production).
Filter icon	If the filter section is hidden, click the gray Filter iconto open it. The Filter icon turns bluewhen the filter section on the page is open. Click the blue Filter icon to hide the filter section again.
Filter by	The available filters depend on the graph/table displayed. Select from the drop-down list: Year Time Frequency (appears after Year is selected, for some graphs) Quarter (appears if Quarterly is selected from Time Frequency drop-down list) Month (appears if Month or 10 Day Interval is selected from Time Frequency drop-down list) 10 Day Interval (appears if 10 Day Interval is selected from Time Frequency drop-down list. Select Month first.) Message Type (Queries, Updates) Sub Message Type (ADT, ORU, QBP, VXQ, VXU)
Search	Click this button after selecting filter options from the drop-down list(s) to apply the filters to the displayed graphs.
Reset	Reset the drop-down list filters to start the filter process over.
Graph View / Table View	If available, toggle between Graph View and Table View to see the data in the different formats. In some cases, the table view provides additional details. This toggle switch is not available for all graphs.
