Review Test Messages

The quick view feature shows an HL7 message broken into its segments, fields, repeats, and sub-components. This view only shows how the message is parsed by a generic HL7 parser and doesn't account for required fields and values. Use this view instead of counting pipes in a text editor.

To review a test message, click the Test > Quick view menu link. Copy your test message and paste it into the message content text box, then click one of the following buttons:

Submit - Sends the message and displays the reconstructed field values
Clear - Removes all content from the message text box and allows you to start over
Reset - Removes any new content that was added

After clicking Submit, review the HL7 field values (in yellow). Hover the mouse pointer over a field to see a tooltip describing the field value.
