Test HL7 Messages

The Test menu provides a sandbox for HL7 developers to validate the format and content of HL7 messages. Generally you test messages when the HL7 interface is created and when the provider starts to send data. This testing sandbox is designed for testing messages when the interface is created.

To test HL7 messages you:

1. Review the code tables - see Review Code Tables.
2. Construct a message - see Create Sample HL7 Messages.
3. Review the message structure - see Review Test Messages.
4. Process a message - see Process Test Messages.
