Global Contacts

STC | iQ provides the ability to create and store a contacts list for use throughout the application.

Authorized users can access the Global Contact List page by clicking on the Admin > Global Contacts link in the menu. Click here to see an example Global Contacts List page.

Search for a Contact

To search for a specific contact in the list, begin entering at least a few characters in the Search field. The contacts list narrows as text is entered in the Search field.

Add a New Contact

To add a new contact, click the round blue + (Add) icon (Add icon). The Create Contact window appears. Enter the person's first name, last name, position, phone number, and email address (all fields are optional) and click Create. The person's information is added to the global contacts list.

Edit a Contact

To edit a contact on the Global Contacts List page, locate the contact in the list, then click the Edit icon (Edit icon) in the Edit column for that contact. On the Edit Contacts window that pops up, edit the information as necessary. Click Update when finished.

Delete a Contact

To delete a contact, locate the contact in the list, then click the Delete icon (Delete icon). The contact is deleted from the Global Contacts List page and can no longer be added to individual provider onboarding pages.

Caution: When a global contact is deleted from the Global Contacts List page, it is also deleted from any provider onboarding pages it had previously been added to.

Send an Email

To send an email to one or more contacts from the Global Contacts List page, select the contact(s) by clicking on the checkbox next to the name, then click the Send Email button that appears once a contact is selected. Your default email application (for example, Outlook) opens with the contact information automatically added to the To field. Enter a subject and message, then send the email as you normally would.

Select a contact again to deselect it.

Create a Distribution List

Distribution lists in iQ are called Contact Groups. See the Contact Groups topic for more information.
