Data Quality
State users can view general statistics on the data quality of organizations/facilities
in order to quickly evaluate the progression of data quality across the
state and per provider. Click the Trends
> Data Quality menu link to open the Data Quality Progress page.
When the page first opens, the graphs display data for the current time
period. Filters can be used to adjust the time range.
State users can view these graphs
on the Data Quality Progress page:
- Monthly Success Rate - Displays
the overall state quality (success rate) across time in order to assess
aggregated IIS quality for reporting, benchmarking, and performance
improvement. Click a bar to see daily data for that month. The graph
shows the percentage of successful data quality, up until the current
month. No table view is available.
- Organizations with the Lowest Percentage
of Messages with Error - Displays the five highest performing
providers (with the lowest percentage of messages containing errors/warnings).
The graph shows the names of the highest performing providers, along
with the percentage success rate. The table view includes the organization/facility
name, percentage of error rate, error count, percentage of warnings,
warning count, total HL7 message count, and an indication of an increase
or decrease in the performance rate.
- Organizations with the Highest Percentage
of Messages with Error - Displays the five lowest performing
providers (with the highest percentage of messages containing errors/warnings).
This highlights providers that need extra support in the production
phase to maintain data quality. The graph shows the names of the lowest
performing providers, along with the percentage success rate. The
table view includes the organization/facility name, percentage of
error rate, error count, percentage of warnings, warning count, total
HL7 message count, and an indication of an increase or decrease in
the performance rate.
- EHR Vendors with Lowest Percentage of Messages
with Error - Displays the five highest performing EHR vendors
(with the lowest percentage of messages containing errors/warnings).
The graph shows the names of the highest performing EHR vendors, along
with the percentage success rate. The table view includes the EHR
vendor name, percentage of error rate, error count, percentage of
warnings, warning count, and the total number of messages.
- EHR Vendors with Highest Percentage of
Messages with Error - Displays the five lowest performing
EHR vendors (with the highest percentage of messages containing errors/warnings).
This highlights vendors that need extra support in the production
phase to maintain data quality. The table view includes the EHR vendor
name, percentage of error rate, error count, percentage of warnings,
warning count, and the total number of messages.
Organization/Facility users
have access to the following graph:
- Monthly Success Rate - Displays
the provider's overall quality (success rate) across time in order
to assess aggregated IIS quality for reporting, benchmarking, and
performance improvement. Click a bar to see daily data for that month.
The graph shows the percentage of successful data quality, up until
the current month. No table view is available.
On the graphs, hover over a specific bar to view detailed information
about what it represents. On some graphs, you can click a graph bar to
open a pop-up window containing more data. Click elsewhere on the page
(outside of the window) to close it. Some graphs also allow you to
