HL7 Location Quality
State and Organization/Facility users can view general statistics on
the data quality of specific HL7 message locations in order to quickly
target which HL7 message locations need attention, across all providers
and for specific organizations/facilities. Click the Trends
> HL7 Location Quality menu link to open the HL7 Quality Assessment
Tool page.
The graphs on the HL7 Location
Quality page for State users include:
- Top 10 HL7 Data Elements - Displays
the ten HL7 data elements with the fewest number of errors/warnings.
The graph shows the names of the data elements and the percentage
of errors/warnings.
- Bottom 10 HL7 Data Elements - Displays
the ten HL7 data elements with the highest number of errors/warnings.
This highlights the HL7 message locations that need attention across
all providers, as well as for specific organizations/facilities. The
graph shows the names of the data elements and the percentage of errors/warnings.
- Primary EHR / EHR Comparison - Displays
the HL7 data elements with the highest number of errors/warnings for
the primary EHR vendor and allows the user to compare this information
with up to five additional EHR vendors. This highlights the message
locations of greatest concern in order to alert providers and vendors
on areas to correct, and to implement a process improvement strategy.
The graph shows the five HL7 data elements with the highest percentage
of errors/warnings and the percentages of errors/warnings.
- HL7 Data Element Success Rate
- Displays the percentage of failures over time by HL7 field type
in order to highlight the data elements of greatest concern, so that
organizations and vendors can be alerted and a process improvement
strategy can be implemented. The graph shows the success rate for
selected HL7 data element per calendar month for the selected year.

Organization/Facility users include:

- HL7 Data Element Success Rate -
Displays overall success rate for HL7 data elements.
On the graphs, hover over a specific bar to view detailed information
about what it represents. On some graphs, you can click a graph bar to
open a pop-up window containing more data. Click elsewhere on the page
(outside of the window) to close it. Some graphs also allow you to
zoom in for more detailed information: Click and drag the mouse
across the graph to zoom in and click the Reset
zoom button to zoom back out.
The filters, buttons, and icons available in the filter sections are
as follows:

If the iQ application is being used
in pre-production, select Pre-Production
from the drop-down list. Otherwise, if the iQ application
has moved to production, select Production.
The data that is retrieved and displayed on this page depends
on whether or not the application is "live" (in
Production) or not (Pre-Production). |

If the filter section is hidden, click
the gray Filter icon to open it. The Filter
icon turns blue when
the filter section on the page is open. Click the blue Filter icon to hide the
filter section again. |
