Data Volume
State and Organization/Facility users can view general statistics on
the number of HL7 messages submitted monthly and the organizations/facilities
with the lowest and highest number of HL7 message submissions. Click the
Trends > Data Volume menu link
to open the Data Volume Statistics page. Select the appropriate filters
as necessary.
To switch between Pre-Production and Production stages (if applicable),
select the correct stage from the drop-down list on the top right side
of the page.
The graphs displayed on the
Data Volume Statistics page for State users include:
- Monthly Message Tracker - Displays
the HL7 message volume by month. This allows the user to access the
aggregated HL7 messages for reporting established benchmarks for performance
improvement. The graph shows the number of messages sent per month;
clicking a bar shows daily data. No table view is available
for this graph.
- Organizations with the Lowest Number of
HL7 Message Submissions - Displays the organizations/facilities
with the lowest number of HL7 message submissions, ranked from low
to high. This highlights which providers are sending the least data
to the IIS. The graph shows the name of the organization/facility
and the number of messages sent. The table view lists the rank, organization
name, HL7 message count, and indication of an increase or decrease
in the number of HL7 messages submitted.
- Organizations with the Highest Number of
HL7 Message Submissions - Displays the organizations/facilities
with the highest number of HL7 message submissions, ranked from high
to low. This highlights which providers are sending the most data
to the IIS. The graph shows the name of the organization/facility
and the number of messages sent. The table view lists the organization
name, HL7 message count, and indication of an increase or decrease
in the number of HL7 messages submitted.
- Milestone Tracker - Displays the
number of HL7 messages at four milestones: HL7 Validation, Issue Resolution
Validation, Processing in the IIS, and Saved in the IIS. This highlights
data bottlenecks and aids the user in determining the need for additional
investigation or troubleshooting. The graph displays the milestone
and the number of HL7 messages. Note for ImMTrax users: The Problem
Records Milestone displays when a record is marked as a Problem Record;
no further processing occurs.
On the graphs, hover over a specific bar to view detailed information
about what it represents. On some graphs, you can click a graph bar to
open a pop-up window containing more data. Click elsewhere on the page
(outside of the window) to close it. Some graphs also allow you to
zoom in for more detailed information: Click and drag the mouse across
the graph to zoom in and click the Reset
zoom button to zoom back out.
