IWeb 5.17.5 User Guide |
The Vaccine Ordering Management System (VOMS) module (or the Vaccine Inventory Management System (VIMS) module in Alberta) complements the CDC's Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS). VOMS (or VIMS) provides a convenient way to handle the orders directly from within the registry. Note that throughout this document, VOMS also generally refers to VIMS.
Most of the VOMS module's features are available from the Orders and Transfers menu, located along the left side of the application. From this menu, users with the correct access levels and permissions can monitor the Organization's vaccine inventory, and place or approve vaccine orders and vaccine transfers.
The goal of the VOMS module is to manage inventory for all of the providers in the registry. This allows state and local health jurisdiction administrators an electronic visibility to all providers in the state/region.
NOTE: A separate VOMS application is now available. If your facility uses the new VOMS application, the IWeb menu categories of Lot Numbers and Orders/Transfers are replaced with a VOMS 2.0 link that opens the VOMS application. See the VOMS User Guide for more information. |
The following are VOMS-related functions, but they are not always performed by the same person:
The user access levels and permissions determine what each user can view and do within the application. A user with permission to place orders, for example, may not have permission to approve orders.
Specifically, the Lot Numbers and Orders/Transfers categories in the menu are from the VOMS module.
