Diseases by Demographics Report

The Diseases by Demographics report displays a count or percentage information for all diseases that fall within a specified time period, geographic area, and investigation criteria as defined by the report parameters. The count or percentage information can be further broken down by demographic information by selecting the appropriate display options. Subtotals per disease are included, with the grand totals at the bottom of the report. After the report is displayed, individual patient case details can be viewed by clicking the patient ID number.

To run this report, select the Reports > Diseases by Demographics menu link, which opens the Disease by Demographics Report page. Enter the report parameter options and click View PDF Report, View HTML Report, or View CSV Report, depending on the file format in which you want to review the report. Click the Return to Sentinel Reports link on the upper left-hand side of the page to return to the application.

The available fields and options for this report are as follows:

Field/Option Description
Table Type Select the table type: Count or Percentage
Time Period Enter the From and To dates or click the calendar icon to select the dates. These fields are required.
Report Selection Criteria To limit the report to a specific Case Classification or Investigation Status, select it and then select a classification or status from the related list box.
Disease Select one of the categories (Disease, Disease Group, or Disease Class) and then select an option from the list box related to that category. Select SELECT ALL to include all of the options for that category.
Geographic Area Select one of the categories (State Wide, Nation Wide, Out of State, County, or LHD Region). If County or LHD Region is selected, also select an option from the list box related to that category. Select SELECT ALL to include all of the options for that category.
Display Variable 1 Select the first display variable (Sex, Age Group, Race, Ethnicity, Case Classification, Investigation Status, or Month). The default option is Sex.
Display Variable 2 Select the second display variable (Sex, Age Group, Race, Ethnicity, Case Classification, Investigation Status, Month, or None). The default option is Age Group.
