Reports

Reports within Sentinel can generally be exported in three file formats: PDF, CSV, and/or HTML. However, not all reports can be exported in all three file formats.

The following reports can be run from the Reports menu in Sentinel:

• Line List Report
• Diseases by Demographics Report
• Yearly Report by Month/Week
• Diseases - 5 Years History Report
• Year to Date Disease by Area and Time Report
• Single Disease by Area and Time Report
• Disease by Geographic Area Report
• Summary Disease Report - a state-configurable option
• Epi Curve Report
• Animal Rabies Report
• Investigation Timeliness Summary Report
• Performance Metric Line Listing Report
• BT/ILI Report - only available to users with the BT/ILI reports permission

Report Data Restrictions

All reports except for the Line List report, present only aggregate count summary data (as opposed to aggregate diseases) and have no restrictions on statewide users. Therefore, counts of all aggregate reports can be seen by all local and regional/district users.

The Line List report presents patient-level data. A user must have a role with the appropriate permission to view that level of data in Sentinel in order to view/export this report.

Local users have a Small Cell Count Rule applied to geographic levels below county for geographic areas outside of their Local Health Jurisdiction (LPHU). Users from one LPHU can view aggregate summary count data within other LPHUs, but counts below a certain threshold do not display when the geographic level of detail is city, school district, or zip code.

The Small Cell Count Rule minimizes the risk of identifying individual cases by displaying alternate text:

• Counts and rates of less than five display as "<5" rather than the actual value
• Counts and rates of zero display as "0"
• Counts or rates of five or greater display as the actual count or rate
