Accessibility in VOMS

Both the VOMS application and the documentation provide accessibility features.

Application Keyboard Shortcuts

VOMS provides a set of shortcuts for navigating the user interface pages and for executing various actions. The following keyboard shortcuts can be used:

To do This	Press this Keyboard Key
Move forward from one field to the next field	Tab
Move backward from one field to the previous field	Shift + Tab
Multi-select in list boxes (where multi-select is allowed)	Ctrl + click
Display the contents of a drop-down list	Tab to drop-down list, then Enter to open it. Some drop-down lists allow you to enter a few characters or numbers to narrow the list.
Move forward (down) or backward (up) in drop-down lists	Down arrow / Up arrow
Select one item in a list	Enter
Select a checkbox or radio button	Space
Clear a selected checkbox or radio button	Space

Documentation Accessibility

The VOMS documentation provides the following accessibility features:

For screen reader support, text is provided as an alternative to displayed images.
PDFs are optimized for screen reader navigation.
The documentation is very readable on high-contrast displays.
There is sufficient contrast between the text and the background color.
Where possible, the colors used in the graphics are easily distinguishable by people who have color blindness. (Exceptions may occur when a third-party graphic or screenshot is required, in which case a thorough alternative description is included.)
